The range of public transport services in the Paris region is expanding. While the future Grand Paris Express network is eagerly awaited, RATP and SNCF are continuing to modernize public transport in the Paris region. In 2023, several projects have been announced, including the extension of line 11 to the east of Paris, with the opening of 6 new stations, the arrival of autonomous buses, and the inauguration of a new tramway line.
Inaugurated this Saturday, June 24, line T10 will run between Croix de Berny, in Antony, and the Jardin Parisien district, in Clamart. 8.23 km long, this new streetcar line serves a total of 13 stations and crosses 4 communes, namely Clamart, Le Plessis-Robinson, Châtenay-Malabry and Antony. Up to 25,000 passengers are expected to use the line every day, according to project owner Île-de-France Mobilités.
A number of festivities are planned to mark the inauguration, including a brass band in Antony, a photography exhibition in Clamart and an electric scooter circuit.
While this new tramway line will make life easier for many Parisians, particularly those living or working in the southern Hauts-de-Seine region, the T10 also offers connections with the T6 streetcar at the Béclère hospital, as well as with the RER B and TVM bus at La Croix de Berny (the Trans-Val-de-Marne, which runs to Rungis, Belle-Epine and Créteil).
