This is not the first time that the Musée Grévin has decided to remove a wax statue of a controversial personality. Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have not been seen in the Parisian museum for several years. This time, it is thecomedian Pierre Palmade who lost his place there, after causing a tragic road accident under the influence of cocaine, causing several serious injuries. Returned in October 2021 alongside that of Muriel Robin, the statue will have lasted only two years.
The Grévin Museum told Le Parisien that this was necessary,"out of respect for the family that was bruised, for this lady who lost her baby and these people seriously injured in hospital" but also"because of the latest developments in the investigation. If the comedian has indeed been indicted for manslaughter and unintentional injury, an investigation for child pornography has also been opened against him.
At present, no date of return is planned for the statue of Pierre Palmade, which will land in a warehouse north of Paris. Muriel Robin's statue will remain alone for a long time in the Grévin Museum.
