His name is Anthony Letissier. He's the manager of Maison Letissier. And he's just won first prize for Essonne's best patisserie 2024. We tell you all about it!
After the Val-d'Oise's best patisserie competition, it was time for the Essonne 2024's best patisserie competition. Held this autumn, this gourmet competition brought together a number of artisan bakers and patissiers ready to battle it out for victory and the coveted trophy.
To do so, candidates had to create and present two flagship pastries of French gastronomy, namely the Paris-Brest and the apple tart. A jury, made up of professionals and experts, had to taste these numerous pastries and decide between the candidates on the basis of taste and texture.
After deliberation, the jury finally named Anthony Letissier of Maison Letissier, Massy, the overall winner of the 2024 Essonne Best Pastry Competition, in the " Company Managers " category.
Second place went to Jérémy Leygue of Pain Sucré bakery and patisserie in Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil, followed by Stéphane Guichard of Les Petits Gourmands in Athis-Mons.
