The snow that fell across France on Thursday, particularly in Paris and the Île-de-France region, could turn to black ice in areas where temperatures will be below freezing overnight. On the public transport front, we take stock of the situation and the lines affected by the bad weather this Friday, November 22.
The good news is that there was no impact on the Paris metro. This is not the case for the Transiliens, where almost all lines have been affected by the snow and ice.
Weather conditions are complicating traffic on several Transilien lines. Line H is disrupted in its entirety, as is the section of line J linking Vernon-Giverny to Saint-Lazare, line N between Dreux and Montparnasse, and line P between Coulommiers and Gare de l'Est.
On line R, traffic is interrupted between Montereau and Melun via Héricy, with an estimated resumption around 9 a.m. Finally, the L and U lines are experiencing disruption due to a technical incident.
The Prefects of Yvelines, Essonne, Val d'Oise and Seine-et-Marne have announced the suspension of school transport this Friday. This also affects many bus routes, so be sure to check before travelling.
For Roissy Est, routes 2101 to 2111 and 2122 are suspended. Bus 2120 has been diverted and does not serve the Claye-Souilly cemetery stop. On the Brie et 2 Morin network, many lines are also at a standstill, including 03A, 03B, 8A, 31, 31A, 32, 33, 38, 40, 41A, 41B, 42, 49, 59 and the P bus.
