Every spring, in Paris and throughout the Île-de-France region, the Nuit des Musées (Night of the Museums ) awaits us with an exciting program of visits. This year, the Musée Pissarro, located in Pontoise, invites us to join them on Saturday May 17, 2025 for this cultural event. It's an opportunity to conquer this place dedicated to the painter Camille Pissarro.
The Musée Pissarro pays tribute to the Impressionist master in the charming setting of a private mansion. Paintings by Pissarro and his sons Lucien, Georges and Ludovic-Rodo, as well as by Charles Daubigny, Henri Matisse, Louis Hayet, Ludovic Piette, Gustave Allemand, Louis Jimenez, William Thornley, Norbert Goeneutte and Octave Linet are on display, providing us with an insight into the evolution of landscape painters, from pre-impressionism to post-impressionism.
Museum Night is an annual cultural event held in several European cities, during which museums open their doors free of charge in the evening to allow us to discover their collections and exhibitions in a different, fun way. On this night, cultural venues often organize special events for all publics. With family, friends or even lovers, there's a program to suit every taste and every occasion. Another great opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of our heritage and enjoy cultural visits in a whole new light.
