To mark the 21st Nuit des Musées, the Rambolitrain museum in Rambouillet (Yvelines) is opening the doors to its toy train collection by night, this Saturday, May 17, 2025. Here's the program.

It's an unusual museum to visit with the whole family, always a hit with young and old alike. The Rambolitrain museum in Rambouillet is taking part in Nuit des Musées 2025 ! On Saturday, May 17, you can visit this private museum, the result of a meeting between two miniature train enthusiasts, Jacques Visbecq, who has a fabulous collection, and Alain Baldit, who is crazy about small trains...

This museum, the only one of its kind in France, boasts over 4,000 exhibits, including toys in sheet metal and zamac, scale models in brass and bronze, and even three electrical networks in operation thanks to a timer system that you trigger yourself. We're even told that moonlit rides and candlelit dinners are held on the train platforms, before the trains set off on their tours... !
