Missing her? It's back! The Fête de la musique is set to sweep through Paris and the Ile-de-France region on Friday June 21, 2024 , with a new edition just as exciting as its predecessors!

For over 40 years now, this popular and festive event has been putting a smile on our faces every June 21, the day of the summer solstice, thanks to its countless free concerts, to be enjoyed in the streets of course, but also in parks, squares and gardens, cultural centers and museums, bars, cafés and restaurants, not forgetting institutions such as the French National Assembly!

Located on rue de l'Université, the National Assembly, along with the Senate, forms the famous Parliament of the Fifth Republic, and continues to fascinate the French. In fact, from time to time, this place of power organizes open doors for the general public, enabling them to delve into the history of this mythical place.

On Friday June 21, 2024, the National Assembly will once again be taking part in the Fête de la musique, hosting a series of free concerts (accessible by registration). "On the occasion of the Fête de la musique, the National Assembly is organizing, on the initiative of President Yaël Braun-Pivet, a musical and festive moment in the courtyard of the Hôtel de Lassay " explains the institution on its website.

So, after Clara Luciani, L'Impératrice and Nassim-dj, who has the honor of bringing the Fête de la musique to the National Assembly in Paris? This year, the National Assembly is betting on eclecticism and a festive program, inviting 4 Caminos, The Chills and Retrópico to perform outdoors in the courtyard of theHôtel de Lassay on June 21 from 6pm!

Throughout the evening, three foodtrucks (Le camion qui fume, La traction gourmande and La glace mobile) will be set up in the courtyard of the Hôtel de Lassay.

Fête de la musique 2024 at the National Assembly, the program

• 4 Caminos, from 6.30pm to 7.45pm:
  A salsa quintet, 4 Caminos covers songs from the 20th-century Cuban repertoire with a modern twist.
  
  
• The Chills, from 7:45pm:
  Inspired by funk, soul and pop, the seven members of The Chills offer a repertoire alternating covers and original compositions to take you on a musical journey.
  
  
• Retrópico, from 9pm:
  Two trumpets, a trombone, a saxophone, two synthesizers and a drum kit... The Retrópico collective will perform high-energy tracks, blending brass instruments with house rhythms.

Admission is free, but registration is required in advance. Please note that, for security reasons, registration will close at 12 noon on Tuesday June 18, 2024. Please also note that access to the event will be via 128 rue de l'université, from 6pm (please bring valid ID).
