Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: sports to see and schedule of events

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are getting closer! The Games Committee has finally unveiled the schedule of competitions to watch this summer 2024, as well as the full list of sports to discover.

The days are flying by, both too fast and too slow. We can't wait to be immersed in the madness of these Olympic and Paralympic Games, this summer 2024, in Paris! This event still seems a long way off, but it should be coming very soon now. In the meantime, we're gearing up for these memorable Games - almost as intensely as the athletes!

We're locating the competition sites, reviewing the rules of the various sports, supporting our Blues... A titanic task! And to help us in our preparation program, the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games has unveiled some new information.

The calendar of Paralympic events has been published. We can now see which sports are on the program for these Games, as well as the dates of the competitions and the dates on which the matches will take place. There are a total of 23 different disciplines and 549 events, contested over eleven days. So, without further ado, here's the long-awaited list!

Disciplines to watch during the Games :

  • Para taekwondo: August 29-31 at the Grand Palais
  • Para track cycling: from August 29 to September 1 at the velodrome national de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (78)
  • Wheelchair rugby: August 29 to September 2 at the Arena Champ-de-Mars
  • Para badminton: from August 29 to September 2 at the Arena Porte de la Chapelle
  • Boccia: August 29 to September 5 at Arena Paris Sud 1
  • Goalball: August 29 to September 5 at Arena Paris Sud 6
  • Para archery: August 29 to September 5 at Les Invalides
  • Para swimming: August 29 to September 7 at Arena la Défense
  • Para table tennis: from August 29 to September 7, 2024 at Arena Paris 4
  • Sitting volleyball: from August 29 to September 7 at the Arena Paris Nord in Villepinte (venue still to be confirmed).
  • Wheelchair basketball: from August 29 to September 8 at Arena Bercy.
  • Para rowing: August 30 to September 1 at the Stade nautique de Vaires-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne, 77)
  • Para sport shooting: from August 30 to September 5 at the Châteauroux national shooting center (venue to be confirmed).
  • Cécifoot: August 30 to September 7, 2024 at Tour Eiffel stadium
  • Para athletics: August 30 to September 7 at Stade France, and September 8 for the para marathon
  • Wheelchair tennis: August 30 to September 7 at Roland-Garros
  • Para triathlon: September 1 and 2, starting from Alexandre III bridge
  • Wheelchair fencing: September 3 to 7 at the Grand Palais
  • Para dressage: September 3 to 7 at the Château de Versailles (78)
  • Para road cycling: September 4 to 7 at Clichy-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis, 93)
  • Para powerlifting: September 4-8 at the Arena Porte de la Chapelle
  • Para judo: September 5-7 at Arena Champ-de-Mars
  • Para canoeing: September 6-8 at the Stade Nautique de Vaires-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne, 77)

The Paralympic Games take place from August 28 to September 8 in Paris and surrounding cities. Ticketing for the event opens in autumn 2023. What competitions are you looking forward to attending?
