The stage is set, the Seine awaits: on July 26, the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games promises to be a monumental celebration! But who will headline this legendary event, bringing together millions of spectators worldwide?
Even before the names of the artists have been officially announced, speculation is rife. One insistent rumor is that Aya Nakamura has been thrust into the limelight by President Macron 's audacious idea of revisitingEdith Piaf classics in her own style. But what do the French really think?
An exclusive poll conducted by Linternaute and YouGov reveals some surprises ... or not! While the head of state favors Aya, the people have other ideas. Top of the poll is turntable virtuoso David Guetta, with 19% of the vote, closely followed by our veteran French singer Florent Pagny, with 17%. The legendary helmeted duo, Daft Punk, came third, although they have reportedly already declined the invitation.
Young voters, meanwhile, have a different opinion: DJ Snake takes first place with 31% of the vote among 18-24 year-olds, followed by David Guetta, and stadium-filling rapper Ninho.
We can't wait to see which artist lands his ticket to the most-watched (musical) event of the year! What do you think?
