The sport climbing events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are to be experienced from August 5 to 10, 2024. So, can France hope for a medal in this discipline? For now, the suspense remains, but all eyes are on young Oriane Bertone, expected to compete in the women's bouldering-difficulty combined. So what channel, day and time will you be watching her on? We tell you all about it.

Following in the footsteps of swimming, judo, table tennis, fencing and BMX... climbing could in turn bring together a host of French fans in the fan zones and behind the small screen. To be followed from August 5 to 10, 2024, climbing takes place on the Bourget site and promises some great sporting moments, between the speed event and the combined bouldering/difficulty event.

But can France hope to win one or more climbing medals? The question remains unanswered for the time being, but several French athletes are worth watching, including Bassa Mawem in the speed event, Sam Avezou, provisional leader in the combined climbing event on August 5, and not forgetting young Oriane Bertone, competing in her first Olympic Games in the bouldering/difficulty combined event.

At just 19 years of age, French climber Oriane Bertone could also win a medal in this discipline. But Oriane Bertone will be up against some formidable opponents. However, the French climber will be able to rely on her recent exploits to try and reach the podium. The Reunionese climber was the youngest athlete to climb a V14-rated boulder, when she was just 12 years old.

Then, at the European Championships in Munich in 2022, Oriane Bertone won bronze in bouldering. In 2023, the climber also made a name for herself at the World Climbing Championships in Switzerland, bringing home a silver medal in bouldering.
