While events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have already begun before July 25, the opening ceremony on the Seine marks the real start of the global competition. For two weeks, athletes from all over the world will compete in various events, including climbing! But who are the big winners in the climbing events?
As a reminder, theclimbing event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games consists of three disciplines: speed, bouldering and difficulty. In speed, two climbers compete on a 15-metre wall, with the fastest winning. In bouldering, climbers complete several short, technical routes on a 4.5-meter wall without ropes, in a limited time. In difficulty, they must climb as high as possible on a 15-metre wall in a single attempt. The results of all three disciplines are combined to determine the medal winners .
