After La Flamme and Le Flambeau, Jonathan Cohen 's two successful series on Canal+, Marc 's character is about to make a comeback, but not on the small screen... According to a recent portrait in Paris Match magazine of Thomas Anargyros, president of Mediawan Studio and producer of the two series, Jonathan Cohen is currently working on a feature film centered around his iconic character. Dubbed"Marc, le film", the project promises to extend the wacky universe of the series that has captivated viewers on Canal+.
The actor is reportedly working hard to develop this new cinematic adventure. When promoting his film Sentinelle in September 2023, he hinted that he was working on a sequel. "We're working on something where we'll get some of the cast back together again," he told RTL, sparking a wave of excitement among long-time fans.
The series La Flamme and Le Flambeau have been a resounding success since their broadcast. Parodying The Bachelor and Koh-Lanta respectively, these programs have attracted a wide audience thanks to a five-star cast. Géraldine Nakache, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Leïla Bekhti, Pierre Niney and Ramzy Bedia (to name but a few) have all contributed to making Marc a cult character. With over 100 million views on MyCanal, these series have made a lasting impression.
A film that could well be the opportunity for Jonathan Cohen to reinvent his character, while retaining the absurd humor and zany situations that have made the series such a success. Fans can now look forward to seeing this new adventure on the big screen!
