Le Métro, our test of The Game's 100% Parisian escape game

The Game invites escape game fans to discover one of the most unusual rooms, Le Métro, at its two locations in Cardinal Lemoine and Saint-Michel, in Paris's 5th arrondissement. What makes it special? A real RATP metro carriage. The room won first prize in the Ile-de-France region at the Escape Game Awards 2023. Ready for an underground adventure?

When the "metro, work, sleep" formula becomes a little more intense for the "metro"... For an unusual escape game as exciting as your journey on the RATP lines, head for The Game, a brand in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, which offers you a true-to-life immersion in an incredible adventure in the Paris metro. Entitled "Le Métro", this escape game plunges you into the heart of a real RATP train. The room won first prize for the Ile-de-France region at the Escape Game Awards 2023!

Here's the pitch for this adventure: "The subway is approaching. The headlights are just emerging from the darkness, when all of a sudden, the subway stops in the middle of the track! This seems much more worrying than a simple stop for traffic control, and the subway doesn't seem ready to start again... A collision is inevitable if a team doesn't intervene urgently to restart it".

Please note that, as with all escape games, you have one hour to solve all the puzzles and get out of the room. Pregnant women are advised not to enter the room, and it is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. However, there are no age restrictions on this escape game, as The Game welcomes children aged 10 and over accompanied by an adult. As for the décor, it's worth noting - and this is the special feature of this adventure - that the company uses a genuine RATP metro carriage, used for 40 years on the Paris network.

Our review of Le Métro, at The Game :

Le Métro is a particularly successful venue, and on many counts, whether you're a beginner or a more experienced traveler: the decor is clearly there, with immersion accentuated by an authentic setting, recovered by the company from the RATP. Seats, folding seats, windows, doors... it's all there! So it's hard not to see yourself in the Paris metro.

In terms of puzzles, the room is of intermediate level, but beginners have every chance of succeeding in getting out of the room. Escape game regulars, meanwhile, can challenge themselves on some of the not-so-obvious riddles, and try to get out of the room while having fun. Enigmas for everyone, and something for everyone!

In addition, the riddles are in keeping with the setting (don't expect a succession of padlocks to open and codes to find, there are some, but the only ones present are integrated into the decor and the situation) and the special effects are very surprising, accentuating immersion in the story told by the room. In short, an experience not to be missed under any circumstances, if you haven't already experienced it!

The room is reminiscent of another Air France adventure, L'Avion, which uses a real aircraft cockpit. When it comes to immersion, you can't beat it! And don't miss the underground adventure of Le Métro! Shall we book a session, folks?
