Nintendo unveiled its release schedule for the coming months, during an emotionally-charged Nintendo Direct. Among the titles unveiled was Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, a supernatural investigation game that caught our attention. A second Nintendo Direct, dated February 8, 2023, gave us the game's release date: June 30, 2023, to discover this title reserved for players aged 16 and over.
We play as Yuma, an apprentice detective suffering from amnesia, who is haunted by Shinigami, a spirit who helps him solve his investigations. One by one, the young detective attempts to solve the many mysteries lurking in this strange city, where the rain never stops.
This is a world controlled by a megacorporation. Detectives make their fortune in this city, where investigators have special powers that enable them to uncover the truth. We wander through this 3D open world, searching for clues.
Investigations progress little by little, until the final confrontation in the spirit world. It's up to you to make the right choices, to get as close as possible to the truth, and lift the veil on these mysteries. But beware, your path will be strewn with pitfalls: the Spectres will do everything in their power to turn you away from the light...
