PlayStation fans now have something to look forward to... Sony made a bunch of announcements at a PlayStation Showcase held this Wednesday, May 24. The hour-long event promised to unveil a host of new games and licenses for the PS5 and PSVR 2... And the promise was largely kept!
On the program, about thirty PS5 and PSVR 2 titles in development in the best studios around the world were announced with trailers, and from time to time a more precise release date. Beautiful glimpses of several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as enchanting games from external partners and independent creators... That's it!
Well, let's stop spinning your wheels and present you with the list of games unveiled at the conference:
As expected, Sony took the opportunity to unveil a long trailer (with a bit of gameplay, even) for Spider-Man 2, allowing itself the very end of the conference to lift the veil on the game. A nice teaser showing Miles Morales and Peter Parker as Venom trying to save Dr. Connors from the clutches of Kraven the Hunter.
Beside this announcement, there were some surprises like The Plucky Squire which hadn't been shown for a year, Assassin's Creed Mirage which revealed a bit of gameplay and a release date, Alan Wake 2 which we're not expecting anymore or - and this is maybe the biggest surprise of this PlayStation Showcase - a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. A nice conference, then, with also a lot of little nuggets that we let you discover in the video above... On your controllers!
