Developed by Avalanche Software, it sold over 15 million copies worldwide, enabling Warner Bros. Interactive to surpass its forecasts. It would be surprising if Warner Bros. didn't build on this success ... That's what Gunnar Wiedenfels, CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery, told Variety on September 4, 2024.
"Clearly, the successor to Hogwarts Legacy is one of our top priorities in a few years' time," he explained. He continued: "So there is certainly a significant contribution to the growth of this activity in our strategic outlook".

Although the announcement doesn't directly confirm that they're for Hogwarts Legacy 2, it's a possibility that shouldn't be ruled out. The studio needs talent with mastery of theUnreal Engine, the graphics engine on which the first episode runs. This hiring, combined with the discontinuation of DLC for the first game, could well indicate that the studio is gearing up for something big.
Game files reviewed by YouTubedataminer GrandTheftDiamonds also revealed that interesting game mechanics could be included in Hogwarts Legacy 2. These include a romance system, a house points system, and a morality system affecting the reputation of apprentice wizards. These concepts could add a new dimension to the game and further excite fans.
