Your favorite heroes are back in a new adventure from Digital Eclipse, entitled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, and available from December 10, 2024. Initially announced for PC only, this retro beat'em up will also be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version, on the other hand, will be released a few days later, on December 19. The game takes you back in time to face the iconic Rita Repulsa!
A few weeks ago, Digital Eclipse surprised the gamer community by announcing the release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind. However, details regarding console platforms remained unclear. Today, a discreet update on the publisher's website reveals that the game will be available on several consoles, including the Nintendo Switch eShop. Although specific links to other versions are not yet active, this information is enough to delight fans of retro games on Switch.
Digital Eclipse, the studio behind the videogame restorations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, brings you an adventure in which the Power Rangers face a temporal threat. In this new opus, Robo-Rita, a robotic version of Rita Repulsa, joins forces with her alter ego from the past to rewrite history and prevent the formation of the Power Rangers. Players must join forces to thwart this threat and save the space-time continuum.
The game will feature cooperative combat for up to five players, locally or online, with shooting and chase phases reminiscent of the 90s. Fans of the original Power Rangers will find the five original Rangers and their famous Dinozords(Jason, Zack, Trini, Billy and Kimberly), as well as levels inspired by several cult episodes of the series.
