The 48H de l'Obstacle is back! On the program: 15 obstacle races, including 4 Group 1 events, the highest level of excellence in Galop racing, and plenty of free entertainment! That's what's in store for spectators at theHippodrome d'Auteuil on the weekend of November 16 and 17, 2024. To round off the Paris equestrian season in style, these two days of competition will bring together Europe's best horses and jockeys in some fifteen hurdle and steeplechase events.
On the program for the festivities is the Prix Serge Landon, a 4800-meter race with 16 hurdles, in which the best horses aged 5 and over will have to link jumps without losing speed between obstacles. The Prix La Haye Jousselin , considered to be the rematch of the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, will be contested on Sunday: 22 obstacles will be placed in the competitors' path, over a distance of 5500 meters.
In addition to all these spectacular races, there's plenty of entertainment planned for the weekend. Children will be able to enjoy free pony rides, sack races, Pony Hop races, a giant inflatable structure and a carousel with wooden horses!
And because you've got to have something to eat, there are several options: the Karly Flight brasserie or one of the food trucks set up on the racecourse. For a snack, take advantage of the crepe, waffle and candy stands. In short, a great program of activities for the whole family, and what's more, it's free for the kids!
