The Daffodil Race Against Cancer: everything you need to know about the 2024 edition

The Institut Curie is proposing a connected challenge for the Daffodil Race Against Cancer: from March 12 to 24, 2024, accumulate as many kilometers as possible by running or walking. For every kilometer you cover, a donation will be made to the Institut Curie by the event's major partner. Put on your sneakers and support cancer research.

Running for a good cause in Paris! The Course de la Jonquille contre le cancer celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024. All the more reason to take part in this new edition, which runs from March 12 to 24, 2024. Once again this year, there will be no large gathering on the Champs de Mars: the association is renewing its connected race. For the health of all, the Institut Curie has come up with a slightly different event.

Throughout Daffodil Week, use a smartphone application to accumulate kilometers by walking or running. Each kilometer recorded is then converted into a donation by the event's major partner, which is donated to the Institute. For every kilometer run, one euro is collected! Registration is now open on the Une Jonquille contre le cancer website.

Organized by the Institut Curie, the Daffodil Run and Walk is an opportunity to raise funds to help us make a difference. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Institut Curie, which works to combat cancer.

To take part, download thefree Course Jonquilleapplication, which allows you to count the kilometers run by each participant, and to see the overall counter for all participants. Registration for the race costs 15 euros (and 10 euros for minors), and you'll need to remember to print out your race number, which you'll receive by e-mail.

So to all running enthusiasts, occasional runners and other walkers: don't hesitate to give your time to this solidarity event. A few kilometers a day is good for your health, and makes a big difference to research and the fate of thousands of patients in France. The idea, of course, is to mobilize the general public to the cause, to maximize the operation's chances of success.
