We don't say it often enough, but Paris is a mine of good ideas for going out without necessarily spending money and putting a hole in your wallet. Would you like to go swimming, but don't want to break the bank? In addition to the famous basins of La Villette that everyone knows by now, there are a number of free swimming spots in and around Paris.
We're heading for the 20th arrondissement, to the Centre sportif Louis Lumière at 30 rue Louis Lumière, to discover the free pool that's been open to us every year since 2019 from now on. The pool is just a few steps from the Porte de Bagnolet metro station and the Marie de Miribel tramway.
This summer pool is open to us Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 10am to 6pm from July 8 to August 20. The Centre sportif Louis Lumière offers a wide range of free sports activities open to all, with no registration required: aqua aerobics, athletics, badminton, baseball, beach volleyball, gentle gym for seniors, handball, hip hop, taekwondo for seniors, zumba...
Please note that children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. So, why not take advantage of a free outdoor pool this summer?
