For over 20 years, Battle Pro has seen the world's best breaking dancers go head-to-head. This international event enables the discipline, which made its debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, to continue to live on off-screen. Held at the Théâtre du Châtelet on October 13, 2024, the competition will take place in the form of battles in four categories: Crew vs Crew (mixed), 1 vs 1 B-Girl, 1 vs 1 B-Boy, 1 vs 1 Baby Battle (under 12s), with dancers from dozens of different countries.
The 100 professional dancers competing for the title are among the best in the world, and the world-renowned jury will have to decide between them. International DJs will take to the stage to set the mood, while live shows will run alongside the battles to show the audience the beauty of breaking.
Breaking, or breakdance, is an American practice that originated in the New York scene. Popularized in the 1980s, the sport originated in hip-hop and has influenced many contemporary dancers. This international competition also aims to promote the discipline, which combines artistic and sporting performance. In France, over a million people practice breaking.
