1km de danse, a free, festive day in Pantin along the Canal de l'Ourcq

Feel like dancing without stopping for a day? The festive "1km de danse" event returns on Saturday, May 25, 2024, to get you moving on the banks of the Canal de l'Ourcq in Pantin.

After 2 highly successful editions, bringing together nearly 10,000 people last year, the 1km de danse event returns to Pantin, on the banks of the Canal de l'Ourcq, on May 25, 2024. The festivities will take place throughout the day, under the banner of dance, with numerous events and a single goal: to get as many people as possible dancing together. The program includes workshops, performances, a ball, an evening DJ set and, above all, a giant dance floor almost a kilometer long, where you can show off your best moves.

Organized by the Centre National de la Danse, this event starts at the CN D (Centre National de la Danse) and stretches all the way to Place de la Pointe, along the Canal de l'Ourcq. You can come simply to admire performances by artists from different social groups and geographical origins, discover new dance styles, and maybe even discover a passion, who knows? There's plenty of space to let your free and creative soul shine through, so you can dance with friends and strangers alike, for hours on end!
