It's been a big week for French swimming, and especially for Léon Marchand, the 21-year-old swimmer who impressed the world at the World Swimming Championships with three gold medals and records galore! It all began on Sunday in Fukuoka, Japan. The young athlete sprang a surprise in the 400m 4-swimming event, smashing Michael Phelps' legendary 15-year-old world record, no less! Congratulated by the retired swimmer, Léon repeated the feat on Wednesday with a second title in the 200m butterfly. And on Thursday, it's the same again, with a new world title in the 200m 4-swim! A truly flawless performance for this French hopeful.

All the more reason to hope for the best for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will take place in just over a year's time. Léon Marchand says he's ready to go out and set new records, so here's his chance! With five world titles in two years, the young man is already the most successful Frenchman in history, ahead of Camille Lacourt. A legend in the making, at just 21 years of age, the man to bring home the gold medals in 2024!
