Sadly, the need for the SPA continues, as animals continue to be abandoned. To celebrate its 180th anniversary, the Société Protectrice des Animaux is launching its first solidarity race, on Sunday May 18, 2025, where participants are invited to support the good cause by running a few kilometers, accompanied by their faithful four-legged friends if they wish, in the middle of the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud.
All year round, the SPA helps abandoned and mistreated animals, but on this day, you can help save them too, by raising funds. Three races are on offer, depending on your level of ability: a 10 km individual race for the more athletic, a 5 km canicross to run with your dog, or a 2 x 5 km relay, for those who want to run with friends, as a couple or as a family.
To take part, you have to pay the registration fee of 15 euros, then raise funds to reach a collection target for the animals taken in, with all donations going to the association. So, if you don't want to run, you can support the animal cause by donating to a collection! To set the mood, there will be a starting village where animals and humans alike can enjoy entertainment, stalls and surprises!
