Some of the greatest classics from the ballet repertoire at to be enjoyed from October 5 to 29, 2020 at the Palais Garnier. For over three weeks, the famous monument welcomes Paris Opera’s Etoiles and Premiers Danseurs for a collection of magical solos and duos. On the occasion, dancers are accompanied on stage by pianists Elena Bonnay and Ryoko Hisayama, as well as cellist Ophélie Gaillard.
On the menu? “La Mort du Cygne” choreographed by Mikhail Fokine, as well as Hans van Manen’s “Trois Gnossiennes” and Alastair Marriott’s “Clair de Lune”, without forgetting Jerome Robbins’s “A Suite of Dances” and Martha Graham’s “Lamentation” as well as William Forsythe’s “Herman Schmerman”.
All these classics are to be enjoyed on the apron-stage of the Palais Garnier. For the record, the main stage of the opera house is still close because of renovations:
