Being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a true accolade for an American artist. Many legends have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame, including Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, James Brown, Ray Charles, Little Richard, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, The Supremes, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Metallica, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, Joan Baez, Nina Simone, Nirvana, Radiohead, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode.
In 2023, new members will have the chance to join the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But who will it be? For the moment, no one knows, but the list of 14 nominated artists or groups has been unveiled. Some of these are first-time nominees(Missy Elliott, Sheryl Crow, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, The White Stripes and Warren Zevon), while others have become regulars, such as Rage Against The Machine, nominated for the 5th time, Kate Bush (4th time) and Iron Maiden, nominated for the second time. It's also worth noting that the Hall of Fame has decided to list Joy Division and New Order as one and the same band.

To be included on this list, the group or artist must have released their first recording at least 25 years previously, i.e. in 1998 for this 2023 selection.
See you in May 2023 for the final results. The induction ceremony will take place this autumn. Last year, Eminem, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Eurythmics, Judas Priest and Pat Benatar were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
