Remember: in September 2021, the Champ-de-Mars hosted a huge solidarity concert, entitled"Global Citizen Live", headlined by Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Black Eyed Peas, Christine and the Queens and Stormzy. This summer, the international Global Citizen organization returns to the heart of Paris with new artists ready to unite their voices to end extreme poverty and defend the planet.
Renamed this year"Power Our Planet: Live in Paris", this evening of free open-air concerts (tickets available by lottery draw) is pulling out all the stops, announcing the presence of several major artists, including American Billie Eilish (already scheduled for Rock en Seine at the end of August), and rocker Lenny Kravitz (who was spotted in the audience at the Stade de France during the 2nd date of the Metallica concert).
Also at Champ-de-Mars that evening, Joé Dwèt Filé and Ayra Starr, , American R&B artist H.E.R. and Jon Batiste, not to mention a number of special guests, including FINNEAS and Mosimann!
So, when is this unique event, and how can you get involved? Under the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Global Citizen concert takes place on Thursday June 22, 2023, the day after the traditional Fête de la Musique.
"Global Citizen in Paris" will take over the magnificent Champ-de-Mars, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, for an entire evening. The icing on the cake is that this event, organized in partnership with the City of Paris and supported by Live Nation, will be free of charge. However, spectators will need tickets to gain access to the Champ-de-Mars. Global Citizen specifies that tickets can be won by "carrying out actions" on the Global Citiz en app or website in support of the"Power Our Planet" campaign. "Each action taken earns points", which can be used to enter the draw to win the precious sesame. A total of three different draws will be organized. Each entry in a ticket draw will cost a total of 20 points, and it will be possible to enter each time.
