Attention Nordic Folk Music fans! This autumn, the Petit Bain venue in Paris's 13th arrondissement is inviting two talented groups to pay tribute to this spellbinding musical style.
On one side, Hrafngrímr. Behind this name in Old Norse, which means " He who wears the Mask of the Raven ", we find a collective of " Neo Nordic " artists, founded by Mattjö Haussy, ex-member of Skáld. With Hrafngrímr, audiences embark on a space-time journey to discover the mysticism of the ancient Scandinavians, through the vibrations of music and voices.
Recently, Hrafngrímr collaborated with Nytt Land on the sublime track " Köllum Miðgarðs Vættir ".
Nytt Land was originally scheduled for October 30, 2023 at Petit Bain. After having caused a sensation at the Sama'rock festival in 2022 and then at Hellfest, this band, made up of Natasha Pakhalenko and Anatoly Pakhalenko - who are married to each other - should have taken over the Petit Bain venue. Unfortunately, their appearance was cancelled. Nytt Land, who has already produced several opuses, including the most recent, entitled"Ritual", has been replaced by Det Var. Det Var is a Nordic Folk/World Music project founded in 2020 by Thomas Annson and Johan Henser. With its Nordic inspiration, the Det Var project offers music based on traditional instruments and percussion.
For an unusual and unique immersion in the world of Nordic Folk Music, head to Le Petit Bain in Paris on October 30, 2023 for this double bill with Hrafngrímr and Det Var.
