Muse at the Stade de France: how to prepare for your visit by public transport

Muse arrives at the Stade de France this Saturday, July 8, 2023, for their new "Will of the People World Tour". If you have your ticket to attend the show and are planning to reach the Seine-Saint-Denis venue by public transport, then here are a few practical tips to help you avoid any queues around the stadium and arrive as close as possible to your front door.

After concerts in Lyon and Bordeaux, and before a final French show in Marseille, it's now the turn of Muse fans in Paris and the Ile-de-France to vibrate to the rhythm of the British band's countless hits! Matt Bellamy and his bandmates are currently criss-crossing Europe as part of their"Will of the People World Tour", which brings them to the Stade de France this weekend for a one-off concert on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

But before you can see Muse in the flesh on stage and (re)discover their many hits live, you'll have to get to the Stade de France. And let's face it, it's going to be a complicated mission, given the crowds expected around the stadium, and the fact that Muse 's only show in Paris is sold out.

As the RATP reminds us, "the Stade de France can be reached by public transport in a number of ways ", including RER lines B and D, metro lines 12 and 13, and T1 and T2.

So, if you're planning to come by public transport, here are a few practical tips to help you avoid any queues around the stadium and get as close as possible to your front door. After all, itineraries vary according to the stadium entrance indicated on your ticket.

Here are the public transport options you should use to get to and from the stadium, depending on your entrance gate.

To get to the Stade de France

  • From gates A, B, C, D, E and H (east of the Stadium): take RER line B towards " Mitry-Claye " and get off at " La Plaine - Stade de France " station, or take metro line 12 towards " Mairie d'Aubervilliers " and get off at " Front populaire " station. About 10 minutes' walk from RER station B and 25 minutes' walk from metro line 12.

  • Access to gates J, K, L, N, R and S (north of the stadium): take metro line 13 towards " Saint-Denis Université " and get off at " Saint-Denis - Porte de Paris " station. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to the Stadium gates.

  • Access to gates T, U, X, Y and Z (south-west of the Stadium): take the RER D towards " Creil " and get off at " Stade de France - Saint-Denis " station, then walk for about 10 minutes from the station to the Stadium gates.


To leave the Stade and get to Paris

  • From gates A, B, C, D, E, H X, Y and Z (east of the Stadium): take metro line 12 or RER B.
  • From gates J, K, L, N, R, S, T and U (north of the Stadium): take metro line 13, direction " Châtillon Montrouge ".
  • From gates T, U, X, Y and Z (south-west of the Stadium): take RER line D, direction " Melun / Malesherbes ".


Please note that RATP recommends taking metro line 12 and Transilien line H (which serves Saint-Denis and enables you to catch the RER D) to get to the Stade de France; these two routes are generally less busy.
