RTL2 Essonne en Scène 2024 Festival: how to get to the Domaine de Chamarande?

The RTL2 Essonne en Scène Festival is back! The back-to-school musical event takes over the Domaine départemental de Chamarande on Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31, 2024. So, how do you get to the site by public transport or by car? Here's what you need to know before you come, so you can get to the festival site with peace of mind.

Mika, Etienne Daho, Santa, Kyo, Matmatah and even Hoshi and Clara Ysé... Just under a dozen artists are set to grace the sublime site of the Domaine départemental de Chamarande on Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31, 2024, for the RTL2 Essonne en Scène Festival.

If you've never been to the Domaine départemental de Chamarande, you'll be delighted to know that it's the largest public garden inEssonne. This sumptuous estate, with its historic heritage, is set in an exceptional green environment.

So how do you get to the festival site, located at N°39 rue du Commandant Arnoux in Chamarande? If you have a 2-day or day pass, there are several ways of getting to the RTL2 Essonne en scène Festival site in the 91 region (RER, bike, car...). However, the festival recommends using public transport.

Coming by public transport

If you opt for public transport from Paris, take the RER C towards Saint-Martin d'Étampes, then get off at Chamarande station. The festival site is then only about 200 meters from the station.

As far as train times for the return journey are concerned, festival-goers can count on two trains departing from Chamarande towards Paris, with departures scheduled for 00:45 and 01:02 on Friday and Saturday. These two trains will serve the Bouray station (where one of the parking lots is located), the Juvisy station, and finally the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand station in Paris.

If you're heading south towards Saint-Martin d'Étampes, then note that the last train out of Chamarande station is scheduled for 1h35 on Friday (in addition to the 23h19, 0h21 and 0h54 trains), and 1h18 on Saturday (in addition to the 23h18, 23h48 and 0h18 trains).

Coming by car

If you have no choice but to come by car, the RTL2 Essonne en Scène Festival has 4 parking lots, three of which are less than 5 km away. The closest to the site, just 2 km away, is the "Hêtre Pourpre" car park.

The furthest parking lot from the festival entrance, the Bouray station parking lot, is 8 km away, but can be reached by RER C train.

By bike

If you live nearby and prefer to cycle, there will be a limited number of bike racks available at the Fabrique entrance (45 spaces) . A large bike park will also be available at the "Stade" entrance, with a capacity of 200 spaces. "The parking lots are not guarded. The festival declines all responsibility in the event of theft or damage", explains Essonne en Scène.

Finally, for pedestrians, the festival recommends using the Village and Fabrique entrances.
