The eagerly-awaited RTL2 Essonne en Scène Festival was recently in full swing, delighting 20,000 festival-goers in the picturesque Domaine départemental de Chamarande. Thanks to the fruitful collaboration between the Département de l'Essonne and RTL2, this event is now a fixture on the back-to-school agenda and on the Paris region music scene.
Right from the opening, the atmosphere was electric. With family or friends, the public could stroll through the park, admire the château's contemporary art exhibition, feast on food trucks or picnic while the kids played in the shade of the centuries-old trees. The first performances highlighted local talents such as Krill, Dynah, Imparfait, La Veine and Trinu.
Friday night's highlight was undoubtedly the appearance of Durel, winner of the 9th edition of The Voice Kids and proud representative of Essonne, assisted by Nathan, another Essonne talent. Next, Zaho de Sagazan thrilled the audience with her frenzied dancing. Juliette Armanet set the stage alight, followed by an electrifying performance by -M-.
Saturday was just as exciting, with world-class performances from the elegant Pierre De Maere, the charismatic Adé and, to top it all off, the stunning Shaka Ponk show.
This event perfectly illustrates the richness and diversity of Paris Region's musical culture, and the unfailing support of the Département de l'Essonne and RTL2 ensures that the RTL2 Essonne en Scène Festival will continue to shine in 2024.
