Cat Power is back! Less than two years after the release of"Covers", Chan Marshall is back with a new opus of covers, devoted exclusively to Bob Dylan songs. Entitled"Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert", this is a live album recorded on November 5, 2022 in London. On that day, Cat Power gave an incredible concert in the British capital, re-enacting Bob Dylan's legendary " Royal Albert Hall " concert, during which the singer and musician switched from acoustic to electric. Unsurprisingly, Cat Power 's interpretation of this London concert was breathtakingly faithful and personal, as are all her covers.
To celebrate this album release, Cat Power has announced a new tour entitled " Cat Power sings Dylan ". This is an opportunity for the artist to hit the road again, performing Bob Dylan songs all over Europe. In France, fans of the American artist will be treated to three shows, with a first date scheduled for April 26 at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes, followed by two other not-to-be-missed performances on Monday July 15 and Tuesday July 16, 2024 (concerts originally scheduled for April 28 and 29 but finally postponed) at the Folies Bergère in Paris.
After her one-off performance in London, Chan Marshall is hoping to make a splash in Paris too, honoring her hero's legacy with love and a voice as stirring as ever. Join us on July 15 and 16, 2024 at the Folies Bergère in Paris to discover Dylan's songs performed by the legendary Cat Power.
