Attention thrash metal fans! Megadeth returns to Paris this year as part of its " Crush the World Tour", announcing a one-off concert at the Zénith de La Villette on Wednesday June 19, 2024. If you want to be among the first fans to reserve your tickets, don't miss the general on-sale on February 5 at 10am. For those in a hurry, two pre-sales are organized: the " cyber army " on Thursday February 1 at 10am, then the Gérard Drouot Productions pre-sale on Friday February 2 at 10am.
It's an opportunity for Dave Mustaine, surrounded by Teemu Mäntysaaru on guitar (ex-Wintersun), Dirk Verbeuren on drums (ex-Soilwork) and James Lo Menzo on bass (ex-White Lion), to honor the American band's many, many songs.
A quick reminder for the younger crowd. Megadeth was formed in 1983 by guitarist Dave Mustaine. Although the band has undergone several line-up changes, this hasn't stopped Megadeth from enjoying success, thanks in particular to the double-platinum"Countdown to Extinction" (1992), which made Megadeth so popular.
Since then, the band has released no fewer than 11 albums, the latest of which is " The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! This 16th studio album, released on September 2, 2022, features a number of singles, including " We'll Be Back " and " Night Stalkers ". We can imagine that Megadeth will be playing a few tracks from this latest opus, as well as revisiting old hits such as " Train of Consequences " and the legendary " A Tout le Monde ".
Megadeth last played in Paris in the summer of 2023. For this concert in the capital, Dave Mustaine and his bandmates invaded the Olympia. This time around, the American band will take to the Zénith de la Villette for a one-off, not-to-be-missed concert on June 19, 2024, just a few days before their performance at Hellfest in Clisson !
