Beth Gibbons was on stage at theOlympia on February 3 for the Jane Birkin tribute concert, alongside a host of other artists, and now the Portishead singer is announcing her comeback on stage and in record stores! To coincide with the release of her first proper solo album, entitled"Lives Outgrown", Beth Gibbons plans to hit the roads of Europe this spring, taking over the beautiful Salle Pleyel in Paris on Monday, May 27, 2024.
In addition to the capital, the British artist also plans to make a stopover in another French city, Lyon on May 31. As for the rest, fans of Beth Gibbons will be able to catch her live in Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Brussels and London. Please note that the general on-sale date is Friday February 16 at 11 a.m. French time.
This is the perfect opportunity for Beth Gibbons to return to the stage after several years' absence, and to present her first solo album, entitled"Lives Outgrown". Available from Friday May 17, 2024, the album features 10 new tracks recorded over a 10-year period. Produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, The Last Dinner Party) and Beth Gibbons, with additional production by Lee Harris (Talk Talk),"Lives Outgrown" promises to be both personal and introspective. To keep you waiting, Beth Gibbons unveils the first single, entitled " Floating On A Moment ".
Beth Gibbons is known as the legendary voice of Portishead, responsible for such hits as " Roads ", " Glory Box " and " Sour Times ". The British artist also made a name for herself with the album"Out Of Season" (2002), produced with Rustin Man. More recently, Beth Gibbons ' unique voice was heard on the track " Mother I Sober " with Kendrick Lamar in 2022.
