Fancy discovering or rediscovering a legendary band live? Then head to the Salle Pleyel in Paris, on Monday May 20, 2024, to sing the hits of Yes loud and clear! A word of advice: don't miss the ticket office opening on December 8 at 11am.
Who hasn't heard of Yes? After a career spanning over 50 years, during which they have helped redefine the boundaries of rock, Yes is undeniably a live band.
Formed in 1968 by Chris Squire and Jon Anderson, later joined by drummer Bill Bruford, guitarist Peter Banks and keyboardist Tony Kaye, Yes got their start in London's famous The Marquee Club. Today, Yes consists of singer Jon Davison, guitarist Steve Howe, percussionist Jay Schellen and Geoff Downes on keyboards, not forgetting Billy Sherwood on bass.
In 2024, Yes announced their return to the road to mark the 50th anniversary of their legendary album"Tales from Topographic Oceans", featuring tracks such as " The Remembering (High the Memory) ", " The Ancient (Giants Under the Sun) " and " Ritual (Nous sommes du soleil) ". But this new Yes concert in Paris will also be an opportunity for the British progressive rock band to present, for the first time live, tracks from their latest album entitled"Mirror To The Sky".
To enhance this musical evening, the band also plans to spotlight artist and designer Roger Dean, whose work features notably on the cover of the"Mirror to the Sky" album.
Yes is renowned for its expressive songs, esoteric lyrics, elaborate album visuals and picturesque stage sets. Since the start of their career, the members of Yes have released over 20 albums, including"Yes" (1969),"Fragile" (1971),"Close to the Edge" (1972) and"Heaven & Earth" (2014). To (re)discover Yes live in Paris, head to the Salle Pleyel on May 20, 2024.
