Imagine Dragons fans are all smiles! The American band has announced a European tour for the summer of 2025, with four concerts scheduled in France. In Paris, Dan Reynolds and his band are thinking big, with two huge shows scheduled at the Stade de France on Saturday July 5 and Sunday July 6, 2025. But before they can sway to new and oldImagine Dragons tunes, fans at the Stade de France will be treated to an opening act. So, who is it? Who has been chosen to warm up the stadium before the American band takes to the stage? None other than Declan McKenna will be the special guest for these two musical evenings just outside Paris.
Born in the UK in 1998, Declan McKenna is a singer-songwriter and musician. It was in 2015 that the British artist came to prominence with the track"Brazil"; a song criticizing FIFA and the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil. That same year, he won the Emerging Talent competition at the renowned Glastonbury Festival.
To date, the British artist has around twenty singles and already three opuses to her credit. The first,"What Do You Think About the Car?", was released in 2017. It was quickly followed by"Zeros", released in 2020."What Happened To The Beach?", his third and latest album to date, was released on February 9, 2024. It includes the songs " Sympathy ", " Nothing Works ", " Elevator Hum " and " Mulholland's Dinner And Wine ".
On the live front, Declan McKenna is no novice, having already toured North America and Europe. In May 2024, the artist took to the stage at La Cigale in Paris, before returning shortly afterwards to the Bois de Vincennes as part of the We Love Green festival.
In 2025, Declan McKenna will take over the Stade de France for the very first time, opening forImagine Dragons. It's an opportunity for the singer and musician to raise his profile and raise the temperature before Dan Reynolds and his band arrive.
