It's THE cultural event that many fans and enthusiasts look forward to every summer. A truly multidisciplinary festival (theater, music, dance, cinema), Les Nuits de Fourvière has been held at the Théâtre Antique de Fourvière (seating capacity 2,600 to 4,500) in Lyon's 5th arrondissement since 1946! Every summer, the festival presents nearly 60 performances for over one hundred and thirty thousand spectators.
After a highly successful edition in 2023, featuring concerts by Queens of the Stone Age, Ben Harper, Simply Red, Kassav', Imany, Bernard Lavilliers, Sigur Rós, Zazie, Michel Polnareff and Benjamin Biolay, the Nuits de Fourvière festival announces its return in 2024.
This summer, from May 30 to July 25, 2024, the famous music festival will once again invade the city of Lyon, with a program featuring a host of national and international artists. Just take a look at the line-up for the 2024 edition of Les Nuits de Fourvière!
Patti Smith will be on hand for an exclusive concert - in a quartet formation - scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Prior to this, rapper Dinos will perform on the Grand Théâtre stage on Saturday, July 6. Meanwhile, Véronique Sanson has confirmed her appearance at the festival on Friday, June 14, 2024, while the Grand Théâtre will be rocking on Monday, June 3, with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Australian punk rock band Amyl and the Sniffers.
Want more? PJ Harvey, already programmed at numerous festivals, will be stopping off in Lyon on June 4, while Cat Power will be performing Bob Dylan songs on July 11. You can also catch the phenomenon Zaho de Sagazanon June 26, Justice on June 17, Air on June 18, Nile Rodgers & Chic on June 27 and IDLES on July 5. And let's not forget Thibault Cauvin with -M-, Alain Souchon, LCD Soundsystem, IAM, James Blake and Angélique Kidjo.
