Every year, over half a million people gather here. This traditional event has been held since 1930, on the initiative of the press organization founded by Jean Jaurès. Yes, you've probably guessed it, I'm talking about the Fête de l'Humanité, more commonly known as the Fête de l'Huma!

After being forced to cancel its 2020 edition due to the health crisis, the Fête de l'Huma returned to La Courneuve, in Seine-Saint-Denis, in September 2021. A special edition, as it was the last to be held in La Courneuve, on the Aire des Vents site, owned by the Département de Seine-Saint-Denis.

Installed on the edge of theAire des Vents in La Courneuve'sParc Georges Valbon since 1999, the Fête de l'Huma had announced Calogero's move to the Paris La Défense Arena: we were there we tell you that it was going to have to find a"new venue due to the construction of the future Media Village for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games". Now, the Fête de l'Humanité has invaded the former Plessis-Pâté air base 217, located in the heart ofEssonne, for the first time in 2022. In 2024, the legendary Parisian festival, created in 1930 by Marcel Cachin, director of L'Humanité, will make its comeback on this immense site for its 89th edition.

Join us on Friday, September 13, Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15, 2024. As always, the festival will offer an eclectic program: music, a book village, numerous live arts performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, not forgetting debates, round tables and conferences.

On the music front, a host of artists have already taken part, including Stevie Wonder, Cesaria Evora, Noir Désir, Jimmy Cliff, Juliette Gréco and Johnny Hallyday. So, who has the honour of taking part in this new, 89th edition, to be discovered for the third time in Essonne? Well, once again this year, the Fête de l'Huma is betting on eclecticism, and has confirmed the appearance of Calogero, who recently took over the Paris La Défense Arena.

Singers and musicians Jain and Santa are also announced, as are Marseilles rapper SCH, electro music producer Vladimir Cauchemar, duo Jahneration, electro artist Anetha, Voyou and the talented Angélique Kidjo!

Want more? The Fête de l'Huma is also set to welcome the legendary group Louise Attaque, rapper MC Solaar, artist Pomme, Kalash Criminel, Sandra Nkaké, Bretons Gwendoline, hip hop pioneers La Rumeur, Touaregs and Tiken Jah Fakoly. Finally, following the cancellation of Louane and Calema, Shaka Ponk and punk outfit Les Vulves Assassines join the line-up. Passes are on sale on the official Fête de l'Huma website.

Remember, in 2023, Angèle, Soolking, Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine, La Femme, French metal band Mass Hysteria, Dub inc, Rebeka Warrior, Bigflo & Oli, Djadja & Dinaz, Zaho de Sagazan, Balkan rock star Goran Bregović, not forgetting Jeanne Added, Disiz, Martin Solveig and Imany, all put on a show in Essonne.
