The Fête de l'Humanité, organized every year by the newspaper L'Humanité, will be held on Friday September 12, Saturday September 13 and Sunday September 14, 2025 at the former air base 217 at Plessis-Pâté, in the heart of Essonne! Stay tuned for the first names in this 90th edition.

Every year, over half a million people gather here. This traditional event has been held since 1930, on the initiative of the press organization founded by Jean Jaurès. Yes, you've probably guessed it, I'm talking about the Fête de l'Humanité, more commonly known as the Fête de l'Huma!

After being forced to cancel its 2020 edition due to the health crisis, the Fête de l'Huma returned to La Courneuve, in Seine-Saint-Denis, in September 2021. A special edition, as it was the last to be held in La Courneuve, on the Aire des Vents site, owned by the Département de Seine-Saint-Denis.

Installed on the edge of theAire des Vents in La Courneuve'sParc Georges Valbon since 1999, the Fête de l'Huma had announced that it would have to find a"new venue due to the construction of the future Media Village for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games". This has now been done, as the Fête de l'Humanité has invaded the former Plessis-Pâté air base 217, located in the heart ofEssonne, for the first time in 2022. In 2025, the legendary Parisian festival, created in 1930 by Marcel Cachin, director of L'Humanité, will once again take over this immense site for its 90th edition.

Come and experience it for yourself on Friday, September 12, Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, 2025. As always, the festival will offer an eclectic program: music, a book village, numerous live arts performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, not forgetting debates, round tables and conferences.

On the music front, a host of artists have already taken part, including Stevie Wonder, Cesaria Evora, Noir Désir, Jimmy Cliff, Juliette Gréco, Patti Smith and Johnny Hallyday. So, who will have the honour of taking part in this new 90th edition, to be held for the fourth time in Essonne? For the time being, the suspense remains. But the first names should be revealed soon, so stay tuned!

Remember that in 2024, the Fête de l'Humanité invited Shaka Ponk, Calogero, singers and musicians Jain and Santa, Marseille rapper SCH, electro music producer Vladimir Cauchemar, duo Jahneration, electro artist Anetha, Voyou and the talented Angélique Kidjo. Louise Attaque, rapper MC Solaar, artist Pomme, Kalash Criminel, Sandra Nkaké, Tinariwen and Tiken Jah Fakoly also took part.
