Summer is a great time for music festivals, but spring is just as good. It's at this time of year that the first festivals spring up, much to the delight of live music fans. Often anxious, artists take advantage of this period to warm up and fine-tune their shows before facing the summer madness.
A number of music festivals are held in the capital every spring, including Chorus in the Hauts-de-Seine, the Marvellous Island Festival and its top-quality electro line-up in Seine-et-Marne, the Banlieues Bleues festival in Seine-Saint-Denis, the Cercle electro festival back in Le Bourget with an exceptional edition, the Longjumeau jazz festival in Essonne and the famous Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which attracts a large number of jazz-lovers to the heart of the capital every year. And let's not forget the trendy We Love Green, scheduled every year at the beginning of June; a committed festival that kicks off the major musical festivities in Paris.
Please note that this list is not exhaustive. Stay tuned for more spring music festivals in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
