Head to the Albert-Kahn Museum to discover its newly renovated spaces. An opportunity to discover the new setting in which the philanthropist's collections are exhibited.

After several years of renovation work, the Musée Départemental Albert-Kahn opens its arms to you once again. In this exceptional new venue, the curious can come and admire the collections of images and plants, the legacy of the philanthropic banker. Thanks to Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the architecture has undergone a modern, uncluttered renewal, with a focus on nature, and the renovatedgardens offer a moment of calm in the heart of Boulogne-Billancourt.

The museum's aim is to help democratize culture, by educating people in and through images, and by raising public awareness of societal issues. In keeping with the spirit of Albert Kahn, the question of plants and living things is central to the museum, which invites visitors to preserve and learn more about nature, notably through its four-hectare garden.

For its reopening, the program invites visitors on a voyage of discovery, with an original and immersive permanent tour between interior spaces and gardens, photographic, cinematographic and plant collections, as well as the temporary exhibition"Around the World. La traversée des images, d'Albert Kahn à Curiosity". A true exploration of representations of travel through photography and film from the early 20th century to the present day.

In the Hauts-de-Seine department, the Musée Albert-Kahn and its gardens are a veritable institution, the former home of the colorful banker and philanthropist. He built up an incredible collection of autochromes, the first color photographs to tell the world's story, Les Archives de la Planète.

But the man was also passionate about plants, hence the creation of a garden open to the public, with six different garden styles: a French garden, a Japanese garden with its tea pavilion, an English garden, a Vosges forest, a blue forest with its central marsh and a golden forest with its birch trees.
