This March 18, 2022, the Arab World Institute celebrates the independence of Algeria: for the 60th anniversary of the Evian Accords, the museum opens two exhibitions themed on Algeria for free. A good deal you do not want to miss!

60 years ago, on March 18, 1962, the French government and the provisional government of the Algerian republic signed the Evian Accords, putting an end to seven years of war. These Accords signed the independence of Algeria, given pride of place this year: to celebrate this special anniversary, the Institut du monde arabe, or Arab World Institute, invites you to discover this beautiful country!

The museum does not gift us plane tickets to Alger, but a gorgeous cultural journey thanks to two exceptional exhibitions shining a light on artists and the history of Algeria. On March 18, 2022, as a gift, the Arab World Institute invites us to discover these two exhibitions for free.

A good deal art fans do not want to miss!

Here are the two exhibitions to visit for free on March 18, 2022:

Son Œil dans ma main - Algérie 1961-2019 - Reymond Depardon / Kamel Daoud
The exclusive exhibition of the Arab World Institute makes two photographers from two different times talk: Raymond Depardon has carried out several photo reports in Alger, then Evian, during the early negotiations to stop the war in Algeria in 1961. In 2019, Kamel Daoud displays his expert look at the Algerian society. A great exhibition to discover from February 8 to July 17, 2022.
