Take a trip with Samuel Bollendorff, and (re)discover the world through his eyes. The photojournalist and webdocumentarist takes us on a journey around the world, a singular experience that makes us aware of our planet's beauty - and, above all, its fragility.
From February 2 to May 7, 2023, the artist will be unveiling his photographs at Citéco, in an exhibition entitled Contaminations, après moi le déluge? The French photographer presents a series of never-before-seen snapshots and testimonials that make us question ourselves and the future we're preparing for the younger generations.
Italy, Canada, USA, Russia, Brazil, Japan... Samuel Bollendorff toured the globe, armed with his camera. The artist immortalized the most beautiful places, the most impressive natural elements he saw on his journey. But what struck him most was the degradation of these places.
A degradation caused by human activity and the worsening environmental crisis. Through his images, the photojournalist attempts to " show the invisible ", by capturing these contaminated spaces. Toxic waste, barren soil, industrial pollution... This garbage and degradation contrasts with the original beauty of the places visited by the French artist.
Through this photo exhibition, Samuel Bollendorff wants to remind us of the beauty of our planet, and the importance of preserving it. He invites us to question our practices, and to think about the future: if the Earth and its treasures are to survive after us, we must act!
A beautiful and committed exhibition, to be seen without delay at Citéco.
