"Being a woman" is the new exhibition of the artist Pepita, originally from the south of France, paying tribute to a plural femininity. From May 4 to June 21, 2023, she presents her works at the gallery La Lison and invites you to its opening on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 7:30 pm.
After studying at the Beaux-Arts and starting out in fashion, Pepita quickly realized the importance of highlighting the diversity of women in the artistic world. She fights to promote different feminities and to deconstruct stereotypes through her works. Her acrylics on canvas evoke both her personal experiences and emotions, but above all aim to overturn the dominant clichés on the vision of women today. Her exhibition "Being a Woman" is an affirmation of the liberating power of women and promotes a feminine plurality.
Using a colorful palette and a work without details, Pepita seeks to convey a direct, simple and assertive message. Refuting the idea of a single model of woman, she invites to the assertion of oneself and to go beyond the imposed schemes.
The editors had the opportunity to visit the exhibition and appreciate the unique works of Pepita. The artist immerses us in her unstructured universe, advocating an image of the liberated woman. We were lucky enough to be able to admire her paintings, and we particularly appreciated the work Manu, located at the entrance of the gallery on the left. You will be able to admire her unique style, assertive and in the image of her personal artistic journey.
An exhibition not to be missed, at the gallery La Lison.
