TheAtelier Basfroi is hosting a new kind of exhibition to celebrate the astonishing anniversary of LSD! This psychotropic drug, discovered in April 1943 by Albert Hofmann, is 80 years old, and for the occasion, Jaïs Elalouf, a specialist in psychedelic art, is organizing Psychedelics, an exhibition with a cultural vocation, which obviously doesn't invite the consumption of illicit substances. Admire hypnotically patterned artworks and performances, take part in workshops and do your original Christmas shopping at a psychedelic market.
This unique exhibition features lithographed art blotters that reproduce the different visions caused by altered senses, original psychedelic posters from the Elalouf Collection, and a Fluo Box (black light) installation to immerse you safely in the heart of a hallucinatory universe. To accompany it, concerts, scientific conferences and unusual workshops invite you to change your world, between breathwork, cocoa ceremony, yoga, kathak dance or mandala drawing!
A psychedelicChristmas Market also awaits you on December 9 and 10, 2023, to round things off in style, with a host of designer and artisan stalls featuring vinyl, books, posters, raw chocolate and blotting paper jewelry. To immerse yourself in other altered states with no impact on your health, visit the Shamanic Visions exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly.
