Nocturne n°3 Kelly / Matisse: exhibitions, DJ set and manual workshop at the Fondation Louis Vuitton

Discover art in a different way and immerse yourself in the world of great artists, that's what the Fondation Louis Vuitton is offering us this September 6, 2024, on the occasion of a third festive and atypical nocturne.

Lovers ofcontemporary art and culture are no doubt familiar with the Fondation Louis Vuitton, located right next to the Jardin d'Acclimatation. And above all, they're familiar with the house's habits: for each exhibition, the art foundation offers musical evenings, to enable the public to discover the artists and works on show in a different way.

This time, not one, but two exhibitions are on view at the Fondation. Henri Matisse and Ellsworth Kelly share the bill, for twice the pleasure.

Formes et couleurs, a tribute to Ellsworth Kelly at the Fondation Louis Vuitton

In keeping with this much-loved tradition, the Fondation Louis Vuitton invites us to take part in a third very special nocturne, around the exhibitions Ellsworth Kelly, formes et couleurs, and Matisse, l'atelier rouge. This Friday, September 6, 2024, from 7pm, visitors can admire the works gathered at the foundation, and enjoy the musical and artistic program that makes this evening so unique.

Explore the exhibition "Ellsworth Kelly. Forms and colors, 1949-2015", celebrating the centenary of the artist's birth. Guided by cultural mediators, discover the artist's exploration of the relationship between form, color, line and space through key works from pivotal periods of his career.

Before or after visiting the exhibitions, experiment with the collage technique in this colorful workshop. Illustrator Mélanie Alpach offers a corpus of shapes from the world of Ellsworth Kelly to combine, recut and assemble, to create your own interpretation of his works.

Aja is the project of Clémence Quélennec, an ambient producer previously known for her work with La Femme. She composes atmospheric, hypnotic tracks that she brings together in a compilation, Ajasphère Vol.I., "Aja" being her artist name, and "sphere" representing her all-encompassing vision that guides her search for a sound capable of telling a story, of setting a context.
Maud Geffray - DJ set

Maud Geffray is an electronic music composer known for her powerful, haunting and dreamlike universe. On the Pan European label, she has released two solo albums in which her exhilarating dance tracks rub shoulders with the most beautiful contemplative and melancholy compositions. She also composes soundtracks for cinema and the art world, and in 2022 signed the first and highly acclaimed official remix of Eric Serra's "Grand Bleu".

For the nocturne, La Cantine du marché offers a menu echoing the colors of artist Ellsworth Kelly. For refreshment: a sparkling red or blue cocktail, a craft lager, and a selection of colorful organic drinks. For refreshment, she invites the committed restaurant Sezono, which cooks to the rhythm of nature, championing local, vegetarian and seasonal produce. Choose from a red bowl of Chili Sin Carne or a green bowl of zucchini tagliatelle with green tomatoes and basil, as well as amazing desserts.
