On the occasion of a press event organized by Disneyland Paris, the editorial team visited the construction site of World Premiere, the new entrance to Walt Disney Studios (future Disney Adventure World), in the late Studio 1. New features, space, boutique, opening date... We give you the lowdown!

What a transformation! During a site visit organized by Disneyland Paris on April 11, 2025, the Sortiraparis editorial team took a look at the brand-new Studio 1, World Premiere, at Walt Disney Studios (future Disney Adventure World). And to take advantage of the opportunity to fill up on news, too. Starting with an opening date... It's official: World Premiere will welcome its first visitors on May 15, 2025.

A redesign in line with the new Walt Disney Studios identity

As a reminder, this is a completely new entrance sequence for the area, designed to be consistent with the park's new identity. The idea behind the redesign? To transport visitors into the heart of a contemporary open-air film studio,"before becoming the privileged guests of a glamorous Hollywood evening, celebrating the premiere of a successful film under a starry sky", as explained in a press release.

Inside Studio 1, a new décor offers"a new immersive experience paying homage to Hollywood's great cinemas and the entertainment industry in a more global sense", according to the press release. Thus, part of the false façade (that of the current restaurant) has disappeared, making way for the restaurant with a new table layout to accommodate more diners, in Garden Party/"Grand Cinema Premiere" mode.

World Premiere takes on aHollywood Boulevard feel, with its palm trees, stars on the ground and characteristic Los Angeles facades. Dynamic projection effects are also planned.

Visit World Premiere: our first impressions

A part we were able to visit. And we were immediately struck by one thing: although the surface area is identical to Studio 1, it feels much larger. The reason for this is the restaurant's decor, which has been removed to make way for a pretty, garden party-style dining area, with its furnishings and decor, and trees covered in string lights.

A number of additions have been made to the set... Starting, of course, with the façade of the Disney Theatre World Premiere, with its bright, colorful "neon" lights (according to our Imagineer guide for the morning, for the sake of the environment, neon lights are actually LEDs giving off continuous luminosity in a tube, simulating the light of a neon sign), which you won't be able to miss. A pretty, eye-catching façade that should become a must-see photo spot when it opens.

But don't think it's the only decoration with a wow factor! Directly opposite this façade (when you enter World Premiere, just turn around), you'll see a building inspired by the façade of the historic Animation Building at Disney's Burbank Studios. An equally impressive facade, which should not leave you indifferent. We also appreciate the attention to detail, particularly on the windows, through which you can see, via Chinese shadows, offices and other furnishings obviously occupied by Hollywood film pundits.

As for Mickey's of Hollywood Boutique, there's not much to say, as the work is still substantial (but fast-paced), but the architecture reflects the codes of the golden age of cinema. A boutique inspired by the typical American department stores of the 1920s. Note the rather imposing alabaster chandelier at the entrance, which is quite pretty (you can see it on the concept-art below, top left...). Last but not least, a statue of Mickey (which we didn't see, as it wasn't installed during our visit) should also fill fans of the big-eared mouse with wonder. And then, of course, the famousHollywood Boulevard stars, reinterpreted here with the names of your favorite heroes, right at the entrance to the store. On the downside, there's no roof.

Last but not least,The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant: this will welcome visitors on a terrace, but also on a balcony running alongside the building, and will "offer tasty fast food under the starry Hollywood sky", as explained in a press release. A total of 530 seats are planned. Hungry for something to eat? Head for the Searchlight kiosk, inside the building, to enjoy a variety of snacks. A kiosk inspired by those found in Los Angeles, some of which were originally known for selling newspapers and then, as they left theaters, ended up offering coffee."With its elegant "outdoor" Hollywood evening atmosphere, it will be the perfect place to grab a bite to eat before continuing to explore Disney Adventure World," the park further explained in a tweet.

And where does World Premiere Plaza fit in?

Now that we've given our impressions, a few more details... Once out of the building, visitors find themselves in World Premiere Plaza, a new district featuring numerous theaters"currently celebrating Disney and Pixar stories in an elegant, art deco-inspired environment", as Disneyland Paris puts it. A universe inspired by the theaters of London's West End and New York's Broadway. Expect shinier graphics and a greener setting, with numerous trees and bushes planted. A canopy will divide the flow of visitors in two, opening on either side of Studio 1.

Toon Studios ' landscaping has also been revamped, with more green spaces, trees and flowers. The Place des Stars has also been extensively redesigned, allowing shows to be staged on the Tower of Terror, while being surrounded by gardens. Hollywood Boulevard will be preserved, but the false facades will be replaced by trees to create a new perspective.

This redesign will offer visitors a more immersive and captivating experience, while respecting the heritage of Walt Disney Studios Park. Work is scheduled for completion in spring 2025!
