The village of La Roche-Guyon is well known for its medieval château with its breathtaking panoramic views over the Seine, its vegetable and fruit garden listed as a Remarkable Garden, and its classification as one of France's most beautiful villages...but rarely for its Yoga Garden, a discreet, almost secret park, which we invite you to visit.
OnRue des Jardins, only a sign indicates that the Jardin du Yoga is here: as soon as you enter, you're greeted by a lovely wooded park, with the particularity of centering the theme of this beautiful green space around yoga. Donated by Deborah Manetta to the commune of La Roche-Guyon in memory of Eugène Finley, who had a great affection for the latter, the grounds are home to no fewer than 18 stone statues, reproducing some of the most famous yoga positions. From the upside-down dog to the warrior, the grasshopper, the candle or the camel: it's up to you to try your hand at yoga and reproduce each position.
We don't have any precise information about the garden's opening times, so we suggest you try your luck and discover it during your visit to La Roche-Guyon. To get there from Paris, take the Transilien line J to Mantes la Jolie (get off at Mantes station), then bus 95-11 to Place du 19 mars 1962 (get off at Mairie). Enjoy the ride!
