Fête des Jardins 2023 at Parc des Buttes-Chaumont: Workshops, treasure hunt and tree climbing

On Saturday September 23 and Sunday September 24, 2023, the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont invites curious young and old alike to ask questions about diversity, the environment and the jobs involved in preserving them at the Fête des Jardins 2023, back for its 27th edition in the capital!

On the program? Discover Paris's green spaces and participatory planting, get gardening tips, sharpen your awareness of the preservation and development of biodiversity and climate issues, and meet the city's gardeners, associations and other players in the urban nature movement!

For a full program, head to the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont from 2pm to 7pm. What's more? All activities are free!

On the program for the Fête des Jardins 2023 at the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont :

• Activities
  - Tree-climbing demonstration by arborists, and presentation of their trade.
  - Presentation of masonry and locksmith trades from 2 to 6 p.m.
  - Sorting is chic": raising awareness of sorting instructions with SYCTOM, Saturday, 2:30 pm to 6 pm
  - Discover a beehive and beekeeping equipment with beekeeper Karout, from 2 to 6 p.m.
  - Information on the missions and recruitment of reception and surveillance officers and municipal police officers

• Workshops
  - Composting: good practices, good uses
  - Potting (bring your own pots)
  - Recognition of fragrant plants
  - Plant creations and dried bouquets: making bouquets of dried and seasonal flowers
  - Bagged vegetable gardens

• Guided tour on the history of the park and differentiated management from 4pm to 5pm

• Games
  - Treasure hunt
  - Chamboule-tout in the colors of the Olympic and Paralympic Games
  - Hopscotch around park and garden regulations
  - Stop incivilities" goose game
  - Quiz

• Workshops and activities for young people
  - Sand trunk": create landscape portraits in sand using pebbles, branches, etc.
  - Discovering weeds
  - Climbing and moving in trees supervised by tree climbers
