Previously available only on the internet, La Maison du Mochi opened its very first store in the 6th arrondissement in 2019. The specialist of artisanal mochi then established itself in the rue du Cherche Midi, in the heart of the 6th arrondissement.
Parisians are spoiled, no more waiting for the delivery, you can now serve yourself on the spot and taste these famous little Japanese balls wrapped with sticky rice and a heart of Anko, a sweet Azuki paste. The little sweetness to be enjoyed with a tea or an infusion for a perfect snack break .
For the story, the House of Mochi was created in 2016 by Mathilda Motte following her trip to Japan where she was introduced to the making of mochi in the rules of the art. Declined according to the seasons, this little pastry is a hit since it is gluten-free, 100% vegetable and fat-free.
And for those who can't go there, note that it is always possible to go online where you can enjoy a mochi with matcha tea, hazelnut, black sesame, almonds or even yuzu. Made in Touraine, the mochis arrive fresh and soft, but we can't wait to discover La Maison du Mochi in the flesh.
The House of Mochi Right Bank
La Maison du Mochi is also waiting for you in its second address in Paris on the Right Bank in the Haut-Marais. Go to the rue de Turenne to discover this new tea room and taste the best mochis of the capital. [Read more]
